Best Kansas City Wedding Venues!

Your wedding venue is the first choice you need to make when planning your wedding.

But, how do you choose??

Now that you have the ring it’s time to start looking!

These are some of our favorite Kansas City Wedding Venues!

You can find all different kinds of venues in KC in order to fit your wedding. Whether it’s a banquet hall, urban space, ballroom, hotel, barn, or outdoor venue!

Along with the space you need to think about what’s included and allowed too. Do you want to have everything included there or maybe you had your own caterer in mind? Do they have fun photo booths? Every venue has something different. One of these even has a suite where you can stay after your wedding is over.

The Tolman Media team has had the chance to work with many of the wonderful venues here in Kansas City and these are our favorites below.

The Haven Event Space

The Haven Event space is a brand new venue located in Louisburg, KS. It's the furthest away on our list, but is totally worth the extra minutes. The Haven has the option for either an indoor or an outdoor wedding. They provide two rooms for both the bridal party and the groomsmen to get ready, as well as a loft space with game tables for the guests.

There is an onsite bar and they provide three different bar packages to choose from for your guests, as well as drinks for any underage guests. They also provide a fun photobooth mirror with unlimited prints!

One of the best parts in our opinion though is the option to explore the 40 acre property to get some amazing pictures taken of you and your new partner. Definitely check this place out!

The Venue at Leawood

The Venue at Leawood is another newer venue. This venue is a modern indoor space with two rooms that can be booked separately or together depending on the size of your guest list. They offer onsite catering and bar services for guests. If you ask about their all inclusive packages you can get a great deal on everything they have to offer as well.

This Venue is beautiful and they put a lot of thought into the lighting and details to make an exciting space to party the night away in!

White Iron Ridge

Barn Wedding Venue Missouri

White Iron Ridge in Smithville, MO is one of the most gorgeous looking venues both inside and out. It sits on a 72 acre country property by Smithville Lake that is just stunning. With the white barn and beautiful wood interior it’s sure to please many in the style category. The grand staircases provide great photo opportunities, but you really can’t go wrong here with the photos.

This is a luxury venue that offers everything you could want for your wedding. They have 4 different types of photo booths to rent, a full bar along with two mobile cocktail bars, and a huge ballroom with 40 foot ceilings.

One of the best parts of this venue is the on site bridal suite. You and your new spouse will be able to start off the honeymoon in their beautiful suite with 360 degree views of the property. You won’t want to leave!

Madrid Theatre

The Madrid Theatre is a romantic historical building. restored as a gorgeous venue in Kansas City. This building first opened as a silent movie theater and was even owned by the famous Howard Hughes once. Now it serves as a beautiful wedding and event center and should definitely make your list if you love older buildings.

This venue has many of the usual amenities you’d expect including elegant decorations. They also allow you to hire your own caterer for the event giving you the option to have whatever you want! This is the perfect set up if you’re looking for a theater style wedding.

This venue is centrally located in Kansas City near the heart of KCMO, so you’ll have everything available to you here.

Magnolia Venue and Urban Garden

The Magnolia Venue and Urban Garden venue is great for someone going for that downtown urban look. This venue is located right in downtown KCMO. The owner and operator of the venue Deborah, is passionate about interior design and it shows. The decorations are top notch with gorgeous chandeliers and the red brick walls. There is also a 4,000 square foot garden that is available for your ceremony or an outdoor/indoor reception. Magnolia doesn’t have exclusive vendors associated with it so you can choose from anyone in Kansas City opening up endless possibilities for catering, bar, and DJ services.

And Don’t Forget Your Photo and Video Team!

Whether you choose one of these amazing venues, a different one, or even just your backyard you’re going to need a photographer and videographer there to capture it! Weddings only happen once, but your pictures and video will last for generations. If you’re still looking for the perfect team for your day we’re here to help!
